Electoral Tie
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6385561/
So this story crops up in a minor way every presidential election. In a tie, the House selects the President and the Senate selects the Veep. Meaning we could keep having President Bush and gain a Vice President Edwards.
When I told my brother Pat-Pat this, he immediately responded "And then they would have to make a sitcom." Which is true, but only if the Supreme Court also splits on the Sitcom Issue. But that's less unlikely than it seems, what with Rehnquist's health problems...
I love Pat-Pat.
